The privately funded $50 million Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music opens June 13 at Monmouth University, Long Branch, NJ Featuring the musician’s archives, the 32,000-square-foot facility designed by COOKFOX Architects includes exhibition galleries, research archives, immersive interactive experiences and a performance theater.
The building features a weathered steel facade that references New Jersey’s industrial heritage, the design firm says, and its sustainably harvested European cross-laminated and glue-laminated timber “creates authentic and welcoming interiors.”
Torcon is the project contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer and facade consultant.
