Exhibits at the Oklahoma National Guard Museum, one of several high-profile projects that helped Prism Electric win ENR Texas & Southeast’s 2026 Specialty Contractor of the Year award for the Texas region.
Record revenue growth, rapid workforce expansion and landmark contracts in healthcare, data centers and convention centers helped Prism Electric earn ENR Texas & Southeast’s 2026 Specialty Contractor of the Year honor for the Texas and Louisiana region. Prism will be featured in the December 2026 print issue of ENR Texas & Southeast.
Based in Garland, Texas, the electrical contractor posted revenue of $547 million in 2025 and projects $600 million by 2026. The workforce expanded from 1,480 employees to 1,819 during the same period, supported by an expanded Power Academy learning program and improved onboarding efforts that helped accelerate efforts. The company’s growth has been fueled in part by its ability to execute on a scale previously reserved for the nation’s largest contractors, landing its largest single project to date along with a rapid-mobilization data center campaign that required deploying more than 200 electricians to a single site simultaneously.
Prism has continued to invest in security systems to maintain quality amid rapid expansion. Among Prism’s flagship projects during the period was its largest job in the company’s history: a $140 million project for a confidential technology client in Central Texas that encompassed extensive medium and low voltage power distribution, generator capacity and mechanical equipment connections throughout the facility.
The contractor also completed work on a confidential North Texas data center campus valued at $200 million across multiple contracts, building two data rooms on an expedited schedule. A third project, the Oklahoma National Guard Museum in Oklahoma City, was built for the Oklahoma Military Department with Hensel Phelps Construction Co. as a general contractor and covered 10,762 square feet of museum space on an active National Guard installation.
Prism performed 65 percent of the work, calibrating individual lighting fixtures to protect museum artifacts, routing hidden ducts to keep infrastructure out of view within the exhibit space, and tying the building’s fiber network to the 45th Infantry Division’s existing core systems.
The electrical contractor also achieved a solid safety record, with an EMR of 0.62, a TRIR of 0.52 and a DART rate of 0.17 in 2025, with 3,462,746 hours worked without a lost time incident, earning second place nationally in the 2.2 million GChourle category of 2.2 million GChourle Safety category. The company was ranked #39 on ENR’s 2025 National Electrical Contractors List.
Her community involvement includes Habitat for Humanity builds, a Make-A-Wish project, Toys for Tots, the Blue Santa toy drive in Austin, quarterly blood drives, and sponsorship of the Construction Industry Education Foundation’s Design-Build Competition. Employees also recently organized a drive to donate supplies for families affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela.
