In the city of Pattaya, an unusual event happened on Thursday, September 21, when a cow found herself in a difficult situation, having fallen into an outdated septic tank located in an abandoned area near the railway tracks along Soi Siam Country Club.
Upon receiving a distress signal from residents, the Pattaya Rescue Radio Center quickly dispatched a response team to the scene, equipped with a backhoe to assist in the rescue mission.
This was no small undertaking as the cow weighed around 100 kilograms. He had fallen into a 1.5 meter deep septic tank which had not been properly secured. The rescue team swung into action, ingeniously securing the cow with ropes before carefully using the backhoe to lift the cow from the depths of the tank and safely back onto solid ground. This successful operation was greeted with vocal joy from both the owner of the cow and the assembled neighbors.
The cow’s owner, Hasanah Thongkam, 41, explained the events that led to the unexpected rescue mission. He explained that the cow had disappeared and that he had subsequently heard her cries for help emanating from the septic tank.
The cow was visibly struggling to get out of the tank. In response, Thongkam had initially asked locals for help. However, the substantial weight of the cow presented too great a challenge for them to overcome.
It was at this point that the decision was made to call on the expertise of the rescue team, a decision that ultimately culminated in the safe recovery of the cow, reports The Pattaya News.
