With meticulous precision, the rescue team secured the distressed cow with ropes and harnesses, and a backhoe was used to lift the animal safely from the well.

A delicate rescue operation was carried out on September 21 when the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation responded to an emergency call informing them that a cow had fallen into an abandoned well near the railway tracks in the east from Pattaya.

Volunteer rescue personnel armed with heavy equipment, including backhoes, arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Inside an ancient well 1.5 meters deep, once used as a watering hole, but now neglected and in ruins, they discovered a trapped cow.

With meticulous precision, the rescue team secured the distressed cow with ropes and harnesses, and a backhoe was used to lift the animal safely from the well. The success of the operation was greeted with jubilation, with cheers emanating from the cow’s relieved owner, Hasana Thongkham, and the gathered local residents who witnessed the dramatic rescue.

Hasana Thongkham recounted her ordeal, emphasizing her exhaustive search for her missing cow. Eventually, she heard the animal’s distressing sounds emanating from the well, prompting her to seek urgent help. Despite her first attempts to rescue the cow, it had unfortunately slipped back into the well, prompting her to contact the Pattaya City Search and Rescue team.

Hasana Thongkham watches anxiously as volunteers work diligently to rescue her unfortunate cow trapped inside a 1.5 meter deep abandoned well.
