Mechanicsburg, PA, March 1, 2023 – Groff Tractor & Equipment, a construction equipment dealer celebrating its 65thth business year, has completed the acquisition of two western Pennsylvania Murphy Tractor and Equipment locations effective March 1St2023.
“Groff Tractor’s foundation and legacy was established in Central Pennsylvania in 1958 and we expanded into the Western PA market 25 years ago. We have been a Wirtgen America dealer since 2006 and take great pride in our ability to serve the asphalt paving, milling, compaction and material processing segment of the industry in our territory.With this acquisition, we will now unite the Deere Construction & Forestry and Wirtgen America product lines in the region and help expand further our ability to provide Western PA customers with state-of-the-art equipment solutions backed by GT&E’s best-in-class product support.” said Mike Savastio, President and CEO.
The purchase of the Murphy Tractor locations in Delmont and Harmony, along with the recent acquisition of four Plasterer Equipment locations in Lebanon, Bethlehem, Sellersville and Lewisberry increases Groff Tractor’s presence at six John Deere construction and forestry locations in the western, central and eastern Pennsylvania.
“These new locations will be rebranded as Groff Tractor dealerships and Murphy employees will integrate with the GT&E team to bring our leading product support capabilities and exceptional customer service to our Western PA customers,” Savastio added.
Groff Tractor & Equipment is headquartered in Mechanicsburg, PA and will continue to support the premium brands it currently represents at its Cranberry and New Stanton locations in Western PA.
