At approximately 8:15 a.m. Friday, Westfield Washington Schools bus #44 and a truck towing a backhoe collided at the intersection of 193rd Street and Mule Barn Road.
The Westfield Fire Department evaluated everyone at the scene and determined that the 21 students and two drivers involved were uninjured. As a precaution, three students and the bus driver were taken to the hospital for evaluation, but were released without injuries.
A separate bus transported the students to the school from the scene of the collision. The students’ families were informed of the incident.
