The Caterpillar 432 side-shift backhoe is designed to move materials, excavate and fill on construction sites. This 92 hp machine is powered by a C3.6 intercooled electronic turbo engine and is equipped with an all-wheel drive configuration, which allows for stable performance on rough terrain.
Under the hood, flow-sharing valves help manage oil flow to various backhoe functions. The 432 comes standard with a four-speed powershift transmission. Operation is made easier with the directional control lever, rather than the floor-mounted lever, to shift gears. A six-speed automatic transmission is available as an option. Heavy-duty axles and a 100% locking rear differential are standard cat backhoes The axles provide durability while providing traction on uneven surfaces. No daily greasing is required on the front axle.
Three power management modes are available: Eco, Standard and Standard Plus. Based on performance needs, the operator can select the mode for specific applications. Eco mode limits both pump flow and motor speed, while Standard Plus offers maximum pump flow and motor speed, providing power and performance when needed.
Inside the cab, operators can perform diagnostics and view machine status via a softkey display or touch screen. The display allows operators to select various settings and performance parameters. The optional machine safety system is embedded in the screen to help maintain it cat safe backhoes.
