Hill & Wilkinson appoints new CEO in executive reaction

Hill & Wilkinson has tapped Mike Oswald as its new general manager, the Richardson, Texas-based general contractor announced Monday in a press release shared with Construction Dive. Paul Driscoll, who held the position for 13 years, becomes chairman of the board.

Oswald is a veteran of Hill & Wilkinson, having held various leadership positions for 20 years. He began his career at the firm in 2004, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2016, where he managed field operations for all divisions.

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve as CEO, and I could not be more excited about the future of our company,” Oswald said in the statement.

Oswald is an alumnus of Northern Michigan University and serves on the NMU Construction Management Advisory Board and the NMU Foundation Board, according to the release.

Driscoll had a 40-year career with the company (including estimator, project engineer, project manager, group manager and vice president) before becoming CEO.

“I am proud to hand over the reins to Mike and the rest of the executive team,” Driscoll said in the statement. “I am confident in the commitment of this team to continue to lead H&W for many more years of successful growth, always putting our people and partners first.”

Hill & Wilkinson is making additional changes to its executive leadership team:

  • Matt Sisco was promoted to director of operations. Sisco has been with Hill & Wilkinson for 23 years and previously served as Executive Vice President. In this role, you will oversee the field operations of all divisions of the company.
  • Peyton Boddie was promoted to business manager. Boddie has been with Hill & Wilkinson for 23 years, previously as Commercial Executive Vice President. He is in charge of identifying and looking for new business opportunities.
  • Matt Shem was promoted to president. Shem has been with Hill & Wilkinson for 18 years and was previously Executive Vice President of Special Projects. He will guide people operations, including talent acquisition and training.

With revenues in excess of $400 million, Hill & Wilkinson has additional offices in Fort Worth, Austin and Temple, Texas.
