The Krause Family Foundation plans to build The Gathering at South Forsyth Arena in Cumming. The mixed-use development will include an 18,000-seat arena and 1,800 homes, shops and office buildings. The project is contingent on Krause securing a National Hockey League team franchise. The NHL has not committed so far. The project is valued at $1 billion. Central Maine Power Co. plans to carry out the Aroostook Renewable Gateway project. The project involves upgrading Section 80, a 160-mile-long 115 kV transmission line between Coopers Mill Substation in Windsor and Highland Substation in Warren. MISSOURI

NEW YORK

The New York State Department of Transportation plans to rehabilitate the Cross Bronx Expressway (Interstate 95) viaduct, which crosses Webster Avenue, Third Avenue and the Metro-North Railroad in the Morrisania neighborhood of Bronx County. The concrete deck will be replaced and other deteriorated bridge elements will be repaired or replaced. Construction is expected to begin in August 2027 and be completed in February 2032. Sapulpa Public Schools plans to build a new high school on the existing lot, which will include classrooms, restrooms, a storm shelter, administrative space, a kitchen and a performing arts center. Riverview Dairy plans to build Brantford Dairy in Hazel on a 250-acre portion of the Racota Valley Ranch. The facility will house 12,500 cows and include free barns and asphalt feed pads. TENNESSEE

The Tennessee Department of General Services plans to build a public health laboratory at the state’s RS Gass Complex in Nashville. The 180,000-square-foot, multi-level building will be located on a 6- to 7-acre site at the intersection of Ellington Parkway and Hart Lane. It is designed by Earl Swensson Associates. Turner Construction Co. has been selected as a construction manager at risk. Construction is expected to begin in May 2024 and be completed in June 2026. The project is valued at $130 million. WASHINGTON

Brookfield Properties and Presidio Residential Capital plan to develop LakePointe Urban Village on a 214-acre site in Covington. The property is zoned for up to 1,750 residences and the project is approved for 1.32 million square feet of commercial and mixed-use space. MINNESOTA/WISCONSIN

The Minnesota and Wisconsin state departments of transportation are evaluating submitted proposals from engineering services to conduct an independent peer review of the ongoing preliminary design of the John A. Blatnik Bridge, one of two bridges connecting Duluth , Minnesota, with Superior, Wisconsin, carrying Interstate 535 over Bay St. Louis and connecting I-535 and US Route 53. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is the lead agency. The cost of the project, which involves demolishing the existing bridge and building the new bridge, is estimated at $1.5 billion. 4/2 JE Dunn Construction is seeking subcontractors for Phase 2 of the Texas Facilities Commission Capitol complex in Austin. The project includes a 10-story, 360,000-square-foot state office building and a five-story, 165,000-square-foot state office building with combined above-ground and underground parking for 2,550 vehicles. 4/9 The Gadsden Independent School District is seeking bidders to build the Riverside On-Track Center Pre-K building in Sunland Park.
