Irving Consumer Products Ltd. plans to expand its fabric plant in Macon and build an automated warehouse on the site. The scope of the Phase III project includes the construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; purchase and assembly of structural steel; installation of stock preparation equipment, air-dry tissue paper machine, header box, dryers, conversion lines and an automated storage and retrieval system; and purchase and installation of equipment and support systems. The project will increase the plant’s fabric production capacity from 165,000 tonnes per year to 248,000 tonnes per year. CR Meyer has been selected to provide general construction services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025. Repkon USA plans to build an explosives manufacturing plant in Graham. The scope of the project includes the construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; purchase and assembly of structural steel; installation of metal forming equipment; and purchase and installation of an air compressor system, conveyors, racks and packaging and other support equipment and systems. A general contractor will be selected in the third or fourth quarter of 2025. Repkon will use the plant to produce TNT for ammunition and explosives for the US military. Mainspring Energy plans to build a power manufacturing plant in the Northfield Industrial Park in Coraopolis. The scope of the project includes the construction of a 300,000 square meter building; along with the purchase and installation of manufacturing, machining, welding, finishing, assembly and testing equipment and systems. The manufacturing facility will have the capacity to produce 1,000 linear generators per year for use in hospitals, data centers, cold storage, microgrids and other industrial applications.
