Veralto, the new branch of life sciences conglomerate Danaher that is dedicated to improving water quality and protecting nature reserves, sought office space that embodied its commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation technological The 19,000 square meter project is aiming for LEED Gold certification and establishes a new home for the unit as an independent company. The team met its ambitious five-month schedule in part because the designers provided early packages so the builders could meet the accelerated dates. Both the design and construction teams worked closely with Danaher/Veralto and building management to make quick but well-informed decisions. Items such as the chilled beam system, switchgear, lighting and baseboard heating were pre-released so they could arrive in time for installation. In addition, the team accelerated several critical MEP articles.
The project also faced unexpected slowdowns, such as stoppages in the manufacture of shipping floors. Participants adapted to these challenges by effectively solving problems through communication and teamwork to complete work on budget.
