CHARLOTTETOWN, PA – Painted Pony led all the way to find the winner’s circle during his retirement tour in a harness racing division of the Joe MacRae Memorial Series, presented by MacRae Backhoe and Trucking, Sunday afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park.

Rider Marc Campbell sent the 14-year-old son of SS Sand Dollar to the top of his $3,000 MacRae Memorial division and led at every call to a 1:59.2 victory for owner-trainer Raymond White. The 47-time major winner was a $1,000 purchase for White at the 2010 Atlantic Classic Yearling Sale as the horse faces mandatory retirement at the end of the calendar year.

Campbell had a trio of riding winners on the show as he also won the opener with I Can Do It after finishing first in a corrected time of 2:01 miles from the Keith Ford Stable. The Brent Campbell-trained Time To Dance captured the $3,800 pace favorite in Race 11 with Marc Campbell over the wheels.

West Coast Kid was a popular winner in his $3000 MacRae Memorial division as David Dowling guided the Phil Kelly apprentice to a 1:58.4 win for partners Lynn MacLaren, John MacKenzie and Colton profit

The other division was won by Lock Her Up (2:00.3) for trainer/driver Kenny Arsenault and owner Jamie Kennedy of Charlottetown. Arsenault doubled up from his Charlottetown barn as he also won with JK Last Chance (1:55.3) in Race 8.

Rider Jason Hughes made it a pair of wins from his own stable as Century Invictus won in 1:56.2 and Phil Dorleans was a 10-1 odds-on winner in race 9 in a new best of his race of 1:54.4. Hughes is now one win ahead of Marc Campbell in the driving standings.

Live racing continues on Saturday (November 11) with a special publication time at 2 p.m and Sunday (Nov. 12) at Red Shores Charlottetown with opening time at 12:30 p.m.
