Dan Williams has been appointed as the new managing director of Skanska UK’s building services operating unit.
He moves from his current role as chief operating officer and replaces Adam McDonald, who has been promoted to executive vice president with strategic responsibility for Skanska UK’s construction and construction services businesses.
Williams has been with the company for almost 22 years, starting as an engineering student in 2001, the year after Skanska UK was founded.
The building services operating unit at Skanska UK specializes in facilities management and mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) engineering.
McDonald said: “Dan has a thorough understanding of the different products and services our building services business offers across its portfolio. He has built strong relationships with clients in both MEP and facility management. locations. We have a really attractive proposition for the market and his appointment further strengthens the business.”
Williams’ appointment comes after Katy Dowding replaced Gregor Craig as chairman and chief executive of Skanska UK on 2 May.
