The promotion comes at a time when Timberlab, the contractor’s massive timber arm, has been growing. In May, the company reached a settlement acquire the assets of American Laminatorswhich makes glue-laminated timber, or glulam, an integral part of solid wood.
Kretzschmar’s promotion also comes less than a year after a major overhaul at Swinerton following the retirement of Eric Foster, former CEO of the company, after 42 years at the helm. Current CEO Callis took over from Foster, effective January, leaving the role that current COO Ray Haj filled that same month.
