The program, It aims to create a new water system capable of managing the expected growth in the Washington County of Oregon, is one of the largest public works projects in the history of the State. It A collaboration between the Water District of the Valley of Tualatin, the city of Hillsboro and the city of Beaverton aims to create a new seismically resistant water service of $ 1.6 billion for customers of the three entities.
At the end, the system will supply water from the Willamette River, and then take advantage, treat and deliver up to 120 million gallons every day inside the county.
The work involved in the project includes a 29.5 mile pipe system with 25 tunnels (now 98% finishing), a water treatment plant of 60 mgd (now at the end of 65%), which includes a water tank of 15 million gallons, as well as the raw water facilities for the river ingestion on the Willamette River on the river
STANTEC, KIEWIT, CDM SMITH and P&C Construction are among the companies involved with the project that is underway for completion in 2026.
