Enr Mountain States and Southwest has selected PCL Construction as contractor of the year for Colorado and Wyoming. The contractor went from $ 434 million in income by $ 2023 to $ 2024 by 2024 as a result of key aviation projects, mixed commercial use developments, education, hospitality and government/public facilities.
PCL is wrapping a complicated revitalization of the iconic Pedestrian and Traffic Center on Carrer 16 in the Cor de Denver and redeveloping Cherry Lane and 201 Fillmore in the Cherry Creek North neighborhood. The contractor recently received two hotel restoration projects in Aspen (the properties of the Little Nell and Mountain Chalet hospitality) and the firm’s civil infrastructure division is being addressed in the demand for water water and water infrastructure in the region with the Klein Water Treatment Installation in Commerce City, Colo.
By 2024, the Denver -based office in PCL raised about $ 630,000 for Mile High United Way, contributing to a total of $ 21.2 million. The contractor also gave $ 35,000 to support programs, including Women United, an initiative that connects women to essential resources such as secure housing, labor opportunities and quality child care and sponsored the annual lunch of United Women. Firm employees support the work of Rockies Food Bank, part of a $ 77,000 donation that PCL has made to food banks across the country.
The companies of the year are chosen by a vote of regional ENR publishers from all over the country based on a group of finalists selected carefully. The factors include the growth of revenue, new initiatives, current projects, community and industry contributions and other considerations.
