Category winners of ENR’s 13th annual Global Best Projects competition were announced last month, with project teams cited by an industry jury for the past year’s outstanding design and construction efforts from around the world.
Of the 32 winning projects located in 24 countries, three have now been selected by ENR editors as finalists for Global Project of the Year, from a shortlist of nominees provided by the judges.
While all projects demonstrated excellence in international design and construction, these three projects stand out in almost every criterion on which the projects were judged: quality of design and construction, innovation, safety performance, benefit to industry and community, and overcoming challenges.

- Marine works package for the Vung Ang II Thermal Power Plant, located in Ky Anh, Vietnam. Presented by China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd.
