Manhattan Construction Co., Tulsa, has promoted Darren Cottom to the vice president of health care. He has led more than 500 of its healthcare projects, the firm said. Ronnie Wood has been named account director for mission critical and data center construction.

Emily Huntdean of the College of Engineering at West Texas A&M University, Canyon, has assumed the added role of associate vice president for research development and innovation, a newly created position to advance the university’s emphasis on research. She is also a board member of the National Engineering Research Council and the author of the book “Nanostructured Metal Alloys: Synthesis, Properties and Applications” and the children’s book “Engineering Elephants”. Hunt joined the university in 2005.
Balfour Beatty has promoted Dave Campbell to Vice President of Florida Operations, overseeing work in Jacksonville and nearby areas.

GMF Steel Group, a Lakeland, Fla.-based steelmaker, has promoted four executives to vice president. Tim Mitchell now runs its construction operations; Luiz Jacintho preconstruction of heads; Matt Bergstrom advances to lead finance; i Reid Ratajski executes procurement and material acquisition strategy for the company’s structural steel portfolio.
Cornerstone Building Brands, a Cary, North Carolina-based building products manufacturer, has named Michael Pulcanio executive vice president and director of human resources, leader in talent strategy, organizational development and cultural initiatives. He held the same roles at food service company CJ Schwan’s Co.

The Facilities Commission of Texas, Austin, has appointed William C. McKerall as the agency’s executive director from an interim role. He joined the agency in 2023, also serving as deputy executive director and director of the facilities design and construction division. McKerall also worked for the US Navy in operations, engineering and executive positions, most recently as the US Department of Defense’s director of infrastructure and environment for Europe and Africa. He also co-founded an engineering and technology company in Waco.
Clark Wiedetz has joined professional services firm STV Group as vice president of energy solutions, leading its power and energy practice, based in Atlanta. He was director of sales for GreenStruxure.
Jack Puleo has been named dean of the Florida International University College of Engineering & Computing and continues as the university’s associate vice president for research. Before joining the school in December, he was chair of the civil, construction and environmental engineering department at the University of Delaware, where he directed the Center for Applied Coastal Research.
