Melissa M. Kiefer has joined Boston-based Suffolk as vice president of strategy for the construction company’s life sciences and health work in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She was vice president of project development, planning, design and construction at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, where she established and led its first in-house planning, design and construction team and shaped long-term capital plans, facility development and project delivery, according to Suffolk.
