NASUGBU, Batangas – A construction worker died after his body was split in half by the bucket tooth of a backhoe at Nasacosta Resort in Sitio Aplaya, Barangay Natipuan, this city on Friday morning, December 8 .
Police said the victim, Ricardo Domanais, was hit by the tooth of the backhoe operated by Marjun at a construction site in the complex.
Marjun was leveling piled dirt and didn’t notice the victim behind a pile of dirt when the bucket fell. The victim was beaten and his body split in half, killing him instantly.
Marjun was taken into police custody. Law enforcement officials are conducting a follow-up investigation.
