The American arm of London-based Balfour Beatty has selected William “Billy” Webb, who has more than 35 years of experience in the electrical and power generation fields, as general manager of its Total Power Group operations based in Greensboro, North Carolina, the contractor announced in a Sept. 11 news release.
In his new role, Webb will be responsible for leading the TPG team to deliver traction electrification solutions for transit systems, as well as efficient energy system solutions for aviation and mission critical facilities in the United States, according to the statement. Webb succeeds former CEO Kevin Miller.
Webb brings over 35 years of experience in the field of power generation and electricity, including the sale, service, maintenance and installation of emergency power distribution equipment , fire pumps and fuel and control systems, according to Balfour Beatty.
Prior to joining Balfour Beatty, Webb led American Emissions, its commercial and industrial emissions testing business in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, according to Balfour Beatty.
