Case Construction Equipment has launched a 55kW backhoe and electric skid steer loader, along with updates to its 221G and 321G compact wheel loaders.
The new 550SV marks the manufacturer’s first entry into the European sub-80hp backhoe segment. Aimed at construction, municipal and rental applications, it is powered by a 2.8 liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 74 hp (55 kW).
The EU Stage V engine uses a diesel oxidation catalyst and a diesel particulate filter, requiring no selective catalytic reduction or AdBlue.
The machine features an extendable arm with an in-line cylinder design for better visibility and reach. The front loader has a parallel mechanical lift and can be equipped with a variety of accessories.

The new machine also features a load-sensing hydraulic system with variable displacement pump, Powershuttle transmission, digital instrument panel, LED work lights, Bluetooth radio and air conditioning as standard.
Options include Ride Control, hydraulic break lines, a two-way auxiliary hydraulic circuit and a choice of cargo buckets.
Umberto Celestini, backhoe product manager at Case Construction Equipment, said the segment was particularly significant in Iberia, the UK and Eastern Europe.
“The 550SV has been designed to an intentionally tight, focused and highly practical specification that is perfectly aligned with the expectations of this market sector,” he said.
New mini electric crawler loader and improved wheel loaders

Case has also added the TL100EV mini electric crawler loader to its range of electric service machines. Designed for landscape, urban and agricultural applications, it has a tipping load of 1.3 tonnes and uses three independent electric motors: two for ground traction and one for hydraulics.
The manufacturer said the machine is aimed at applications that require low noise and zero tailpipe emissions. Accepts accessories through a common industrial interface docking system.
The TL100EV comes in two track configurations. The narrow-track version measures 890mm wide, or 914mm with a bucket, while the wide-track version measures 1,026mm, increasing to 1,067mm with a bucket. There are non-marking rubber tracks for indoor work.
Meanwhile, updates to the 221G and 321G compact wheel loaders bring operator comfort, visibility and ergonomic improvements previously introduced to the larger 421G to both models.
A new luxury cabin is now standard, with a seat-mounted control console, an adjustable steering column and a revised control layout. Case said the front windshield glass has increased by 20 percent, while the glazed door surface has increased by 71 percent. A redesigned right door, additional side glazing and a lowered front console aim to improve sight lines.
Both models are available in 20 kmh and 40 kmh versions. The 321G offers a choice of standard Z-bar kinematics or an extended reach (XR) loading arm.
