Healthcare provider OhioHealth selected Gilbane Building Co. to build a $226 million comprehensive outpatient cancer center on its administrative campus in Columbus, Ohio.
The planned 199,000-square-foot center, which is being designed by Design Group and HKS, would nearly double the size of the campus, which is across the street from OhioHealth’s Riverside Methodist Hospital.
The scope of the project also includes the renovation of an existing building on the property and the construction of a parking structure.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026. OhioHealth aims to open the cancer center in the spring of 2029.
“This comprehensive cancer center will increase access for patients suffering from complicated and aggressive cancers,” Praveen Dubey, vice president of cancer care at OhiHealth, said in a statement.
OhioHealth is separately planning an expansion of its Dublin Methodist Hospital to increase its inpatient and critical care capacity. Construction on this project is expected to begin in the winter of 2026 and be completed by 2030.
