Providence, Rhode Island-based Gilbane Building Co. has named Jumanne Smith as director of field operations, according to a News release of October 24.
In this role, Smith, who has 30 years of experience in the construction industry, will be responsible for implementing and overseeing strategies to improve field efficiency, safety, quality and productivity, according to the release.
Smith has been with Gilbane since 2014 as a construction executive, according to his LinkedIn. Before joining the company, he spent 20 years working for Bethesda, Md.-based Clark Construction in roles ranging from superintendent to project executive, Gilbane said in the release.
During his time at Gilbane, Smith’s project portfolio, according to the release, includes renovations to the National Mall in Washington, DC and M&T Bank Stadiumthe home of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.
