The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) selected a joint granite and construction construction company to build two pumping stations and pipes projected between $ 450 and $ 520 million, part of a multi -pibilonian effort aimed at strengthening water safety and expanding service in the Vegas valley.

The joint company of Southern Nevada Construction Partners (SNCP) has already begun pre -construction work at the rice pumping station and interconnect the pipeline and the paradise hills pumping station and the pipe project. It is expected that the construction of both begins by 2027 and ending by 2030. The two contracts issued in the works of pre -construction of joint coverage, with the final construction contracts that are negotiated closer to the start of construction.

The RICE project includes a new 30 million gallon pumping station (MGD) at the site of the pumping station and the existing Thomas Rice pumping station in the western valley. In addition, a 21,000-Line-FTA, 42-in-day steel water pipeline will be installed.

The joint company received a pre -construction service agreement of $ 15 million in May, and its association with the project was announced on June 25. The project is expected to go to a construction phase of $ 100 to $ 120 million, with the Granite part about $ 70 million.

Earlier this week, SNCP announced that she had been selected to build the Paradise Pumping Station of $ 350 to $ 400 million and the Canalization project in Henderson, southeast of Las Vegas.

The work is part of the lateral program of the horizon of billions of dollars of the agency aimed at updating the water delivery services throughout the south of Nevada. Currently, water deliveries in the area are provided by transmission pipes for large diameters known as South Valley Lateral (SVL) built three decades ago.

To meet the demands provided by the rapid development of the region and the expected future demand, Snwa developed the side program Horizon; a Package in two phases of related transmission and storage projects.

The work granted to SNCP
Includes the installation of approximately 22,000 linear feet of 120 in steel water pipeline. Waterline, interstate 11; and the Union Pacific railway tracks. The pipeline will also include several valves for future connections with Boulder City, a Henderson city tank and all parts of the Horizon Snwa side program.

As a JV leadership, the granite will perform compensation and crushing operations, excavations of structure and filling, formation and placement of concrete structures, installation of access roads along the alignment, demolition and restoration of existing roads and installation of all the structures and equipment of the bombs station. The estimated total value of the Grandite construction contract is $ 240 million. Contri will be responsible for the installation of 120-in. Pipeline and associated accessories.

The Paradise Hills pumping station will be built in the city of Henderson and will open with a capacity of 35 mgd, with a possible expansion at 65 mg.
