Now the senior vice president of the company’s building services line, Wagner will succeed. Gil Hantzschwho will retire after 32 years at the firm, 11 of which as CEO.
Derek Cunzpresident of Minneapolis-based contractor Mortenson, has been elevated to CEO, effective Jan. 1. In this role, he will replace Dan Johnson, who is retiring. Cunz was promoted to president in 2023.
Kevin Mulhall has joined Ryan Cos. US, a Minneapolis-based construction, design and developer firm, as chief investment officer. He was CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Creek Lane Capital, a company he co-founded.
McShane Construction Co. elevated Alison Gorham to the vice president of his Wisconsin region. She was director of state operations.
Engineer-Architect RS&H has hired M. Anees Rahman in Chicago as Senior Principal Electrical Engineer. He was vice president and senior director of electrical engineering at Primera Engineers. Rahman is also RS&H’s aviation sector design leader.
Ghafari Associates, Dearborn, Michigan, has promoted Rebecca Barry i Matthew Pettit serving as senior vice presidents and co-leaders of the global firm’s architecture and engineering practice in the United States. Barry manages the firm’s largest architecture and interior design groups in Dearborn and Chicago. Pettit leads teams of firms in mechanical, electrical and safety engineering, technology and sustainability.
Oak Brook-based FGM Architects. Mal., has raised John Peters, Elliot Lee i Ron Richardson to the executive vice president. The new vice presidents are Alyson Sternquist, Mike Elliott i Cory Kamholzbased in Chicago. Joining the company is Anthony Lo Bello to lead the business development of higher education practices. Appointed as a member of the board is the vice president Jan Behounekwho leads the higher education practice and is president of the Chicago Building Congress.
Lisa Dean has joined Lamar Johnson Collaborative, a unit of Chicago-based Clayco, as director of economic development. Responsible for public-private partnerships and other initiatives, she was senior vice president of World Business Chicago, the city’s economic development organization.
The design firm BKV Group has appointed Kyle Yardley as managing partner of the government and justice practice leader in Chicago to expand its government facility design platform, the company said. It has also hired Jill Schroeder as a senior planner in Minneapolis to support the company’s growth in the senior living and health markets.
AECOM Hunt, Chicago, named vice presidents: Jonathan Doshna for project management; Rob Cortazzo for operations; i Corey Zussman for QA/QC. The company also hired Meghan McLean as a business development manager and Ibrahim Shobowale as project accountant.
