JCB has launched a new 3CX Sitemaster, an economical model for farmers who need a machine for specialist on-farm infrastructure work.
The Sitemaster backhoe is powered by a 55kW/74hp four-cylinder JCB engine, with no need for exhaust aftertreatment, making it simpler and more economical to operate.
JCB says that for maximum flexibility, the new 3CX Sitemaster has single and twin auxiliary hydraulic circuits for the excavator to operate a wide range of implements, while the loader can be fitted with a JCB quick-hitch to operate familiar farm implements such as bale tips and grapples.
Lateral displacement and a telescopic arm are also included in the excavator for a versatile reach and digging depth, especially useful for clearing ditches on farms and estates.
The telescopic arm adds another meter to the excavator’s side reach (5.57m and 6.57m), while at the front the loader has a maximum lift capacity of 3.65 tonnes and a lift height of 3.59m at the bucket pin.
The loader features a six-in-one shovel with pallet forks, a return-to-dig function that makes loading and handling cycles faster and easier for the operator, and JCB’s Smooth Ride System (SRS) loader arm suspension for improved ride and load retention on the move.
