Two sustainability experts have once again judged the sustainability entries as part of the ENR New York Best Projects 2024 awards.
The sustainability award winner is honored as part of the Best Projects 2024 awards event on November 12 in New York. For more information about the event, visit: https://www.enr.com/enr-best-projects-awards/new-york
All Best Project winners and Award of Merit winners will be honored at the event and will be detailed in more detail in the November issue of ENR New York.
For the sustainability award, our expert judged the projects based on their sustainability information, which includes the project’s overall sustainability strategy, choice of materials, energy savings, etc. as described in an essay question. While major green designations such as LEED and WELL are preferable, they are not entirely critical. Our judge also considered how well the project team went beyond basic industry requirements in the submitted project. Entries that clearly identified strategies that led to excellent sustainability results were scored higher than more general responses.
Sustainability judges were Josh Rollins, Marketing Director, Suffolk Research Marketing and Nate Russo, Civil Engineer, AECOM.
This year’s winner is:
