LPA, a Dallas design studio, has hired John Hoenig as managing director of structural engineering. He had been director of the structure department of the JQ engineering company.
Eder Garcia was promoted to vice president of operations at Arkansas-based Central States Manufacturing, where he oversees company-wide plant operations for the employee-owned company that produces metal roofing and building components.

Engineer STV has announced senior Texas leadership promotions in its national water operations group. Marisa Vergarasenior vice president, is elevated to regional director of water, based in San Antonio; Ryan Owen now vice president and director of regional business development, based in Austin; i Phil Cook he is now vice president and director of regional operations for Texas and Oklahoma, based in Dallas. Vergara leads STV’s Texas and Oklahoma water team and is vice president of the executive board of the Texas American Water Works Association.

Skanska USA Building has hired Kyle Potts as general superintendent based in Dallas-Fort Worth. He had been general superintendent of The Walsh Group in Dallas and also previously worked as superintendent of Austin Commercial. Mario Melendez has also joined Skanska USA as a senior project manager.
