A backhoe being transported on the 50 Freeway in Sacramento struck Bradshaw Road Wednesday morning, dislodging a chunk of concrete and spilling some oil onto another vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 8:20 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 50 at Bradshaw Road.
Investigators found that the backhoe bucket was not properly secured and struck the west edge of the crossing as the truck passed underneath.
CHP East Sacramento 
The impact dislodged an approximately 6- to 10-inch section of concrete from the structure, CHP said. A small amount of oil also leaked from the backhoe at the bottom of the bridge and a vehicle traveling directly behind the truck.
A Caltrans bridge crew inspected the crossing and found no immediate danger. Officials said the damage did not require emergency repairs.
No one was injured and the accident did not close any lanes.
