Mona Garland

Russell Family Enterprises, the umbrella organization of Atlanta-based HJ Russell & Co., Concessions International and Russell New Urban Development, has appointed Mona Garland in the role of general manager of people. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the position. He will work closely with the leadership teams of each of the three entities while leading human capital and employee experience initiatives.

Messer Construction Co. has promoted Eric Seay to the position of business development executive for the company’s Knoxville, Tennessee region. Seay joined the company in 2019, bringing a background in energy sales.

Clayon McCathern

Neel-Schaffer has hired Clayon McCathern to the new role of South Carolina hydrology and hydraulics. With 22 years of experience as a transportation consultant in the field, he will be based in the company’s Columbia office to support clients in South Carolina.

Glenn Patterson has also joined the firm’s Columbia office as South Carolina Structures Leader. He has more than 35 years of bridge design experience with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, where he worked as a structural engineer. He also held leadership positions in the Colorado, Delaware and Kentucky Departments of Transportation.

AtkinsRealis has hired Shailene Bhatt as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of its United States, Latin America and Minerals & Metals business. A former administrator of the Federal Highway Administration, Bhatt provided strategic executive leadership on agency initiatives, including the administration of $350 billion in bipartisan Infrastructure Act funding.

Jonathan Griffith

Jonathan Griffith has joined the Jacksonville, Fla. office. from Hanson Professional Services Inc., where he will use his local government capital project management experience to assist clients with capital program management primarily in Northeast Florida. Griffith comes to Hanson from the city of Palatka, Fla., where he worked for 14 years, most recently as assistant city manager.

Seth Cohen

Hanson has also hired Seth Cohen as Autodesk’s digital delivery specialist. Cohen, who will be based in the Jacksonville office, will manage and optimize the delivery of digital assets and design documents using Autodesk, bringing nearly 30 years of experience to the role.

Software and solutions provider Command Alkon has hired Austin Eanes as vice president of global customer success. Bringing extensive experience to the role, Eanes has served as Head of Customer Success for Zoom Video Communications, where he oversaw 300,000 customers.

Command Alkon has also announced the withdrawal of Steve Cox from the role of Vice President of Customer Success. Cox will move into an advisory role for the company, drawing on extensive industry experience to strengthen relationships with organizations such as the National Ready Mix Concrete Association and the board of directors of the Concrete Industry Management Program.

Brian Natwick

Catamount Constructors Inc. he announced it Brian Natwick has been appointed a member of its board of directors. Natwick, who currently serves as president and CEO of Crescent Communities, brings more than 27 years of experience to the position, including leadership roles at Centex Construction, Skanska USA Building and Moss & Associates, where he managed high-profile projects for to clients like Walt Disney. Imagineering and Hilton/LXR luxury resorts.

Laura LoJacono

Laura LoJacono has joined the Nashville office of MYCON General Contractors in the role of director of business development. He will oversee MYCON’s business development efforts in the Eastern US. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role and will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategies to improve the company’s market position and building relationships with key customers.

Josh Yoder

MYCON has also hired Josh Yoder in its Nashville office as director of preconstruction. Yoder will leverage MYCON’s extensive experience, creative approach and pre-construction teams to guide projects in the industrial, manufacturing and retail sectors from pre-construction to completion.

Terracon has appointed Chadwick Johnson to the position of director of electrical services. With over 20 years of experience in the role, he will be responsible for business and client development strategy and managing key client relationships across the country. He is based in the firm’s Greenville, SC and Charlotte offices.

Balfour Beatty has hired in the US William “Billy” Webb as managing director of its Greensboro, North Carolina-based Total Power Group operations. He succeeds the general manager Kevin Miller. Webb will be responsible for leading the team to deliver traction electrification solutions for transit systems and efficient energy system solutions for aviation and mission critical facilities across the United States.

Jenny Heim

Jenny Heim has been promoted to sustainable design leader for McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, a role in which she will collaborate with teams and projects serving clients and communities across the firm’s footprint. Heim will also lead, develop and advance the company’s sustainability goals aligned with the AIA 2030 Commitment, an actionable climate strategy that provides a set of standards and targets to achieve net zero emissions in the built environment.

The Christman Co. has promoted Mike Elkington to director of project planning in the Knoxville, Tenn., office of the construction management and real estate development firm. Elkington, who relocated from Greensboro, North Carolina, first joined the company in 2016 and has led the pre-construction planning and estimating efforts.

Dewberry has hired Mike Surasky as a senior partner and deputy director of the department, supporting business development and growth in the transportation market in North Carolina. Based in the company’s Raleigh office, Surasky, who brings more than 27 years of experience to the role, will support the growth of the company’s transportation sector.

Data center service provider T5 has hired Adam’s board as senior vice president of environment, health and safety, a newly created position for T5. Board, based in Atlanta, will shape and oversee the company’s EHS strategies and policies across its development, construction and operations businesses.

Ashley Stockton-Massie

Ashley Stockton-Massie has been named director of acquisitions rehabilitation at The Clear Blue Co., a developer and owner-operator of workforce and affordable multifamily housing properties in Nashville. Stockton-Massie will play an integral role in sourcing and securing capital opportunities for the company’s acquisition and rehabilitation operations.

PCL has promoted two employees from Florida. Rick Goldman has been elevated to senior vice president of construction operations for Florida and Chris Ritter has been promoted to district manager of PCL’s Orlando office. Goldman joined the company in 1997 as a project engineer and served in various roles before becoming vice president and district manager in Orlando in 2015. In his new role, Goldman will oversee all operations of buildings throughout Florida with a focus on strategic growth. Ritter joined PCL in 2000 as a field engineer and leader of the company’s Orlando office. He has worked on several projects for prominent clients in the entertainment industry.

PCL has also hired Olivia Frick as Business Development Manager, a role in which he will focus on managing and developing relationships in the Jacksonville market as PCL expands into North Florida. Frick has a diverse industry background that includes business development, project management and marketing.
