Deseret Peak High School in Tooele, Utah, was named ENR’s 2025 Intermountain Project of the Year. Lead architect VCBO collaborated with Reaveley Engineers on the award-winning design, which includes a combined tilt-up structural system and CMU selected, in part, to address a regional shortage of available labour.

ENR Mountain States & Southwest is compiling its annual list of Top Design Firms, which will be published in the magazine’s June 22 issue. Companies will be ranked based on 2025 revenue for work performed in the eight-state region, which includes Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.

We’ve received 75 surveys so far, and those companies are listed at the bottom of this blog post. The survey deadline has been extended and submissions will be accepted until May 11th. Please note: Due to space limitations, not all companies submitting surveys may be included in the printed ranking based on total revenue.

The June 22 issue will also feature more specialized lists of the region’s top design firms, ranked by the amount of industry-specific and green work they’ve done over the past year.

Fill out a survey to be included in this year’s ranking here, where you can also find information on all of ENR’s regional lists, including top contractors. These surveys also help ENR editors select regional companies of the year, based on a review of each company’s finances, projects, community involvement and other achievements.

For any questions, please contact Jack McMackin, ENR Data Coordinator for Surveys and Rankings, at mcmackinj@enr.com or ENR Mountain States and Southwest Editor Jennifer Seward at sewardj@enr.com.
