ENR Texas & Louisiana has chosen 39 projects in five states for its 2024 Regional Best Project Awards, the latest in the annual nationwide design and construction recognitions.
The panel of judges from the publishing industry, working on four separate panels, collectively reviewed 115 entries from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas, and selected the winners for Best Project recognition or a merit award.
Thanks to the judges, listed here alphabetically, for their time:
- Matthew Cartwright, Construction Manager, Freese and Nichols Inc.
- Isaac Garcia, Project Engineer, Robins & Morton
- Timothy Gregorski, Senior Writer, Walter P Moore
- Julie Huval, Owner, Marketing Operations Consultant
- Matt McCaffrey, vice president of Skanska USA Building Inc.
- Natalie Pagano, Director of Marketing and Communications, Manhattan Construction Group
- Sam Roberts, CEO of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority
- Valletta Saldanha, Project Manager, AECOM
Selection criteria included innovation, teamwork, community service, safety and quality of design and construction. Based on the following list of market sector winners, this year’s judges will collectively review and discuss several projects that individual panels have chosen as Project of the Year. Any judge with a connection to a competing project was assigned to review a different category.
The three finalists from this review will be announced at a later date, and the overall Project of the Year will be announced at the ENR Texas & Louisiana Best Projects Awards event on December 6 in Houston.
A separate panel of judges will review the entries submitted for consideration for the Excellence in Safety and Excellence in Sustainability awards, which will also be announced at a later date.
Congratulations to these award winners!
