Govplanet-the Site of Government Auction of Ritchie Bros. Auction and Materials .- It had an agreement on August 8 with the Tom Homan border office, to return $ 260 million to $ 350 million of building materials originally for a planned border wall in the United States-Mexico, which had been considered by the Biden administration.

An unnamed third party company that has been hired for the construction of the border wall will receive the materials for the next 90 days. Although Govplanet did not reveal the name of the contractor, border contracts for projects in both Texas and California have been under construction since April by Granit Construction contractors, the joint company Barnard/Spencer, Fisher Sand & Gravel, SLS CO. and the BCCG articular company.

“We are pleased to have associated with the Office of the Office of the Frontera and the members of the Administration of President Trump to return the materials from the border wall at cost, helping to protect the millions of dollars that North -Americans had already invested in this initiative. We are accelerating the transfer of these materials to support the protection plans of the administrations. Federals of America, “the representative of Govplanet said in a statement.

Steel tubes, balls and concrete materials were bought during the first Trump administration for the construction of the border wall, but was not used at the end of Trump’s first term. Biden’s administration, under Homeland Secretary of Security Alejandro Mayorkas, sought to sell the materials through Govplanet in August 2024 only to be hit by a federal judge of Texas who should be used for the construction of border walls, as the congress appropriated the funds for this purpose.

In 2023, Biden’s administration said it would restart the construction of the border wall, but the real construction was not started again and the border wall materials have sat in the places of Govplanet de Arizona and Nou Mexico. Homan’s office said he restarted conversations with the auction house in January to get the materials. Although the materials were evaluated from $ 260 million to $ 350 million when they were purchased in 2017, neither the auction house nor the DHS could not confirm if they are in a good enough way to use -today for the new construction.
