The best young professionals of 2025 from the ENR West region have been selected!
But first What is the West Region, you ask?

ENR has chosen to reorganize the magazine’s regions to meet the evolving audience of the construction industry. The goal is to provide content for businesses and individuals that crosses evolving geographic footprints.
However, much will remain the same, with each of the five newly reformed regions continuing to publish six bi-monthly print and digital magazines, a bi-monthly newsletter and region-specific digital content published daily on the new regional websites within ENR. com.
In addition, ENR’s successful Best Projects Contests/Events and Best Business Rankings will continue to provide your company with the same level of opportunities to showcase your company’s outstanding work.
ENR West will include the former California region (California and Hawaii) and the Northwest region (Washington, Oregon and Alaska) with the addition of Nevada, formerly of ENR’s Southwest region.
Now on to this year’s inaugural group of honorees for ENR’s Youngest Young Professionals Competition!
ENR West’s Best Young Professionals of 2025
Almost 100 candidates from across the Western Region were assessed by this year’s judging team. A total of 30 professionals under the age of 40 were selected for recognition.
This year’s jury included:

- Wendy MacLeod, Project Executive, Turner Construction Co.
- Paul Pendergrass, founder of BuildOut California
- Michelle Rabinovich, Chief Estimator, Shawmut
- Adam Spillane, senior vice president of operations at Cupertino Electric Inc.
Judges did not score applications from people who work at the same company or with whom they had conflicts of interest.
Each honoree will appear in the first edition of ENR West in March 2025, detailing their achievements and careers to date. Winners from all five regions are automatically entered into ENR’s National Top 20 Under 40 contest.
