Flatiron has elevated Javier Sevilla Roca from president and chief operating officer to CEO, the Broomfield, Colo.-based civil construction company announced in a June 14 press release. Prior to joining Flatiron in 2013 as COO, Roca was CEO of Pulice Construction, a heavy general engineering and construction management company based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Roca built the foundations of his career in Spain at the project level for Dragados, a global infrastructure construction company, according to the release. He worked as project director of the Perpignan-Figueres high-speed rail project, which connects cities in France and Spain. He later became district head of Dragados in the region of Catalonia.
Roca has a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Granada in Spain.
