Wieland Rolled Products North America plans to expand its metal rolling mill in East Alton. The scope of the project includes the construction of building spaces and equipment foundations, the installation of a new rolling mill, and the purchase and installation of cranes and support equipment. Vestal Corp. has been selected to provide site design, utilities, building and floor design services. Salas O’Brien has been selected to provide process design services. NEBRASKA
Synergen Green Energy, a subsidiary of Skeiron Green Energy Inc., plans to build a green hydrogen and ammonia plant on a 160-acre site in Aurora. The scope of the project includes the construction of a windmill energy farm, a solar power plant, building space and equipment foundations; and the purchase and installation of electrolyzer units, gas coolers, hydrogen and fuel tanks, an electrical energy collection system, transformers, wiring, switchgear, and water processing and gas purification equipment . The plant will have an initial capacity to produce 350,000 metric tons of green ammonia per year, 180 million kg of green hydrogen per year and generate 3.6 GW of electrical energy. Stardust Power Inc., a start-up company, plans to build a lithium refinery in the Southside Industrial Park in Muskogee. The scope of the project includes the construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; purchase and assembly of structural steel; and the purchase and installation of storage tanks, reactors and equipment for loading, washing, stripping, polishing, crystallizers, filtration, bagging, flow control and process and absorbent loading. The refinery will have the capacity to produce 50,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium per year. Construction is expected to begin by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
