Arizona

Invenergy LLC is considering building up to three natural gas-fired power plants at yet-to-be-selected locations in Maricopa and Yuma counties. The scope of each project includes the design and construction of spaces and foundations of the building; purchase and erection of structural steel and fuel storage tanks; and purchase and installation of turbines and generator sets, water treatment and storage systems, cooling towers, transformers, switchgear and emission control equipment. The construction schedule will be developed after site selection. Invenergy also plans to build a natural gas-fired single-cycle peaking power plant in Darien, Wis., and two natural gas-fired simple-cycle power plants in Texas. Georgia

Element Six plans to build an estimated $600 million synthetic diamond grain plant at an as-yet-unselected site in Georgia. The scope of the project includes the design and construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; purchase and installation of chemical storage tanks, chemical vapor deposition reactors and cutting, grinding, polishing, flow control and laser equipment and systems. The company will use the plant to produce synthetic diamond grain for the semiconductor, automotive and oil and gas industries. montana

US Energy Corp. plans to build a helium collection system and processing plant at the Kevin Dome in Toole County. The estimated $52.2 million project scope includes pipe laying; cleaning, sorting, trenching, pipe stringing, welding, coating, filling, testing and restoration; construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; and installation of storage tanks and equipment and systems for dehydration, separation, evaporation, compression, gas processing, pressure regulation and CO₂ capture and sequestration. The plant will have the capacity to produce 12 million cubic feet of helium and 125,000 metric tons of commercial grade CO₂ per year.
