JS Link America plans to build a rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing plant in the Muscogee Technology Park in Columbus. The scope of the project includes the construction of a building of 130,000 square meters; installation of melting and sintering furnaces; and purchase and installation of conveyors, sintering presses, cutting machines, a cooling tower and mixing, milling, forming, heat treating, coating, testing and packaging equipment and systems. Simtra BioPharma Solutions plans to build a second pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Bloomington, on a 65-acre site near its existing facilities. The scope of the project includes the construction of 300,000 square feet of cleanroom building space; installation of vial and syringe filling lines based on insulators; and purchase and installation of stainless steel piping, fume hoods and wet lab equipment, filtration, testing, sterilization, labeling, packaging and cold storage. The plant will offer development and contract manufacturing services for antibody conjugates and prefilled injectable drugs for oncology and other fields. Pulsar Helium plans to build a helium extraction and processing plant near Babbitt. The scope of the project includes the construction of construction spaces and equipment foundations; installation of equipment and systems for separation, evaporation, liquefaction, compression, cryogenic purification and carbon dioxide capture; and purchase and installation of support equipment. Chart Industries was selected to provide engineering and equipment for the helium and CO₂ processing plants. Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026.
