Maidstone RCMP are searching for two men and a woman after a backhoe was stolen from a Lashburn, Sask., business early Sept. 30.
Police received a report of a breaking and entering that day. The business is located at 1 Street East. Investigators believe the crime happened between 12:15 and 1:55 am
The suspects drove the backhoe off the property and headed east on Lashburn, RCMP said. The machine is a yellow and black John Deere.
Police believe the suspects were driving a blue car. They describe the suspects this way:
- Male 1: Black baseball hat, black hoodie and black pants
- Man 2: Dark hooded jacket and dark pants
- Female: Brown jacket, brown overalls, brown work boots, purple scarf and gloves. He has long brown or black hair with purple streaks.
RCMP said a gray car seen in the video with the woman is not the suspects’ vehicle. It has nothing to do with the robbery.
Police are asking residents and businesses for a dash cam or surveillance video. They want images of the Lashburn area on the afternoon of September 29th or early September 30th. A video of the suspects, their vehicle or the backhoe could help.
Anyone who recognizes the people in the video or the stolen backhoe should call Maidstone RCMP at 310-RCMP. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or at saskcrimestoppers.com.
No charges have been filed. The investigation continues.
