General contractor based in San Diego TB Penick & Sons ended Las Vegas’ first rental apartment tower this month, developer Southern Land Co. announced. last week
Once complete, the 22-story Chapel in the city’s Symphony Park neighborhood will include 272 residences, including one- and two-bedroom townhouses and penthouses. Units offer sweeping views of the Strip, downtown and surrounding mountains, and will feature mobile kitchen islands, premium finishes and smart home technology.
The building will also include approximately 16,250 square feet of retail and dining space, according to the release, which did not provide a project cost.
Both Capella and its counterpart, the Bria multifamily building, a 275-unit mid-rise community also by Southern Land Co., are on track to open next summer. These two developments will expand the developer’s presence in Symphony Park, where it opened another residential project, Auric, in 2021.

The 61-acre Symphony Park neighborhood features prominent cultural attractions including the Smith Center for the Performing Arts, the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Discovery Children’s Museum. Future projects coming to the area include the Las Vegas Museum of Art, an AC Marriott hotel, the Origin at Symphony Park mixed-use project and the Cello Tower condominium.
