According to a press release, Jacobs is strengthening its position in environmental and infrastructure resilience.

The Omaha District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently awarded Jacobs a $249 million architectural and engineering services contract. The deal will support environmental projects in the U.S. Northwest, Alaska, Hawaii and other outlying areas, according to the Dallas-based company.

Jacobs’ scope of work includes design and specialized services such as environmental compliance, support during remedial construction, National Environmental Policy Act documentation and other environmental studies, according to the release.

“[Jacobs] will provide comprehensive, environmentally friendly solutions to meet customer objectives,” said Susannah Kerr, Jacobs senior vice president. “Jacobs’ continued support of the US Army Corps of Engineers worldwide demonstrates our continued commitment to work alongside government agencies on national security infrastructure and resilience.”

The five-year contract, which began Oct. 1, includes an additional two-year extension for task orders. The win marks Jacobs’ 15th USACE contract award in 2024, building on the company’s partnership with the agency. These contracts represent a total capacity exceeding $2 billion, according to the release.
