Whether it is a renovation of the airport, the replacement of water treatment facilities or the construction of the Terra Hospital, large -scale projects are shaping the construction industry in the area of St. Louis and business thrive, according to McCoy.
“As a metro region, our force lies in our diversification, [including] Expansion of transport and logistics infrastructure:[such as] Airports, roads and distribution facilities …[as well as] Investments in health and life sciences and development acceleration in data centers and critical installations for missions, “says McCoy.
It cites numerous major projects, such as the expansion of $ 3 billion from Sant Louis Lambert International Airport, which includes the consolidation of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in a single terminal with up to 62 doors, the construction of a garage and road improvements.

Not far from the airport, Boeing is engaged in a $ 1.8 billion expansion of its advanced hunting jet manufacturing installation. Boeing claims that the 1.1 million feet project at the Boeing Defense, Space and Security Campus will support advanced assembly facilities and at the post-Assembly Associate Operations Center for advanced generations of advanced aircraft.
In the wider region, Missouri American Water invest more than $ 500 million in its water and wastewater systems throughout the state. Investments are focused on improving system reliability and resilience by replacing aging infrastructure such as pipes, bombs and storage tanks and updating of treatment plants.
Tarlton, in a joint company with Goodwin Bros., offers a largest design replacement for the largest water treatment installation in St. Louis.
On the Health Front, SSM Health is building a 14 -story pediatric hospital in St. Louis. For completion in 2027, it will have extensive neonatal and pediatric care units, as well as specialized areas for cancer care and cardiology.
In addition to the sectors of aviation, manufacturing and health care, “we are also seeing a continuous impulse in advanced manufacturing, higher education, energy and power, commercial and institutional sectors and multi -family housing,” adds McCoy.

Tarlton has also just completed a two -year restoration of $ 27.2 million from the old city court.
No matter how busy they may be, contractors are facing various challenges, including higher material costs. But McCoy also sees a bright light.
“Material prices, though raised, have recovered some stability,” he says, adding that long lead times still affect certain electrical equipment and mechanical equipment.
Interest rates are playing a role in future construction plans.
“The uncertain interest rate environment remains unfavorable for development and starting the new construction, causing funding obstacles and project delays, which causes contractors to be challenging to predict the delay and resource needs needs,” says McCoy.

The original courtrooms were renewed as part of a $ 2.7 million effort to preserve the historic old court in St. Louis.

The Health and Research Market can also be affected by the volatility of funding.
“The uncertainty about health care and the funding of research can lead to gentle markets, but the diversification of Sant Lluís will continue to promote the AEC market for growth,” he says.
With a view, McCoy has a positive perspective for the construction industry in general.
“It forecasts that the Ace Community of Sant Lluís will have much to deliver by 2026 and beyond,” he says. “There will be a lot to build in St. Louis over the next few years.”
