United States Navy officials selected seven contractors to compete for $ 2 billion in construction tasks for southern work -East, the Department of Defense announced on June 5.

The use of Maccs to qualify the contractors pre-perhaps project management and guarantees the reliability of the contractor, said Lindsay Betteridge, a specialist in supervision contracts at Navfac Southeast, in a statement.
“The MACC saves the command and the time and resources of the government,” said Betteridge.
Work under the contract must be completed until June 2030.
Hospital of Guantanamo Bay granted
Navfac Southeast also granted a fixed price contract of $ 227.6 million on June 3 at DPR-RQ Construction LLC for a project to build a outpatient center and a dental clinic at the naval station of Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.
DPR-RQ was the only bidder of the work, according to the notice of the award of the Defense Dept.
With the contract options that have not yet been exercised, the value would increase to $ 237.1 million. Navfac finances the work on an increase.
The complex planned would replace obsolete facilities to provide medical services to military staff and their families. The project is scheduled for completion until September 2029.
