Artificial intelligence tools continue to gain acceptance in the industry, as two recent movements of the main contractors bring the technology further on the critical path.
San Antonio, Zachry Construction, based on Texas, says that Alice Core is implemented, the tool for the simulation and optimization of artificial intelligence programming of Alice Technologies, in several of his key projects. The tool uses an AI engine to automatically evaluate the feasibility of construction schedules.
Zachry now uses Alice Core to simulate much more staging scenario of the workplace than could use traditional planning and estimation, from tender to project execution.
Alice Core ingests XCR files of spring P6 and presents the information of the project in sequence with all the relevant variables tagged and linked. The work, the materials and other factors are extracted from P6 and are presented in a visual representation of the schedule.
“Allows you to examine -the configuration time, the work, the labor force, [relocating work crews]All this, “says Ren Morkos, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alice Technologies. The analysis environment allows the planners to see the impact, on days, of rehabilitation activities such as excavation or concrete paving.
“If you work on a 40 mile project, there are several places that you can start. Alice offers you so many more viable options to offer the best way to build the project, “says Ranjeet Gadhoke, Vice President of Zachry Project Controls. He says that changing the AI -based program with Alice is part of the Zachry’s digital transformation that he has been overseen since 2013 and adds that the system is already showing results for the heavy civil contractor.
Another contractor deepening AI to analyze his processes is Suffolk Construction, which now collaborates with the Trunk Tools technology firm, a graduate of the Accelerator and Suffolk incubator program.
Suffolk’s collaboration with Trunk Tools will develop an Agent of the IA based on his operating game book – the contractor of the operational procedures and the technologies required, which will be used by more than 1,000 field users in more than 100 Business jobs.
Activities such as concrete placement can be optimized through program analysis at Alice Core.

The core tools will apply their agents from the AI specific to the Suffolk’s SOP, with a standardization eye and the risk of risk of how it is implemented in jobs. A Natural Language AI will also offer a better access to project documents and models.
“His commitment to operational excellence and innovation are perfectly aligned with our mission to empower field teams with avant -garde technology that rationalizes work flows and promotes efficiency,” says Sarah Buchner, Founder and CEO of Trunk Tools.
Agents of the AI of logs will be formed in the complexities of the internal Suffolk standards and will provide guidance to employees of the workplace. Integrating SOPs in accessible real -time interfaces, Trunk Tools aims to help field equipment better fulfill process standards and contractor safety protocols while improving operating efficiency. Having the answers at your disposal will help the field equipment to identify problems and avoid the delays of the project.
“The AI and agents can radically simplify the way our teams interact with the increasingly complex document management aspect of construction management, allowing them to focus on construction. Collaboration with trunk tools allows us to accelerate this journey, as its solution optimizes daily operations and contributes to better results, “said Jit Kee Chin, responsible for Suffolk technology, in a statement.
