ENR Midwest’s Class of 2025 Young Professionals has been chosen, and along with the announcement of these honorees, ENR Midwest is now announcing another change: ENR is revising its regions, consolidating them, starting in 2025.
As the construction industry continues to evolve, the audience for ENR’s regional editions has changed, with companies often working within wider geographic footprints and crossing over to work in neighboring regions. With this in mind, ENR’s Regional Editions, newsletters and website content are also evolving, and will be organized as follows:
ENR Midwest will continue to cover Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Nebraska and Wisconsin, but will expand to include North and South Dakota.
Texas/Louisiana and Southeast will become ENR Texas and Southeast.
New York, New England and MidAtlantic will merge to form ENR East, and the Mountain States and Southwest will join forces under the existing ENR Mountain States umbrella.
California and the Northwest will merge to form the ENR West region, adding Nevada, which was previously in the Southwest region.
However, much will remain the same, with each of the newly reformed regions continuing to publish six bi-monthly digital and print magazines, a bi-monthly newsletter and region-specific digital content published daily on the new regional websites within ‘ENR.com. .
In addition, ENR’s successful Best Projects Contests/Events and Best Business Rankings will continue to provide your company with the same level of opportunities to showcase your company’s outstanding work.
The following list of Top Young Professional honorees represents the first class of the new ENR Midwest region.
Each honoree will appear in the first edition of ENR Midwest in February 2025, detailing their achievements and careers to date. The recognition program, held annually by all Regional Editions of ENR, recognizes young professionals in the sector, all under 40 years of age, who are achieving excellence in their professional lives by showing leadership qualities, professional progress, rapid experience and community involvement.
The judges for this year’s contest are all former Top Young Pros. They are: Emily Hyland of HDR Inc.; Abbas Kachwalla of AECOM; PJ Dick’s Sara Sadek; STV’s Megan McPhilimy and BHI’s Rory Mele. Judges did not score applications from people who work at the same company or with whom they had conflicts of interest.
